Cherry, Chocolate, Almond, Coconut Scone

These scones are perfect in the morning with a hot cup of tea or coffee. I personally love the combination of chocolate, almonds and cherries. Reminds me a lot of the ice cream I would get every summer as a kid. I had a lot of leftover coconut flakes from another dessert I was making and thought to add the toasted flakes onto at the end because...why not?!

This recipe is super easy and only uses one bowl! easy clean up and easy prep!

The main thing to remember when making this recipe is to make sure the dough has chilled in the refrigerator for at least an hour up to overnight. Having a cold dough provides a better rise! Another important detail, make sure to let the scones cool completely before adding the chocolate drizzle or it will just melt right off!

You can also use this dough recipe and create endless amounts of combinations for these scones. Some of my favorite combinations include:

-cheddar and chive

-white chocolate and cranberry

-fennel seed and coriander

-herb (parsley, chive, tarragon, dill)

-chocolate and pretzel pieces

Now lets get to the recipe:
